Director of Finance and Administration

Abdoulie Barry joined EDCTP on 7 September 2011 as the Director of Finance & Administration. Prior to joining EDCTP, he was Head of Finance and Procurement at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Unit in The Gambia. His prior experience includes working in the audit and consulting departments of Deloitte, KPMG Peat Marwick and Pannel Kerr Forster which exposed him to varied consultancy and audit assignments. He has extensive experience in auditing of donor funded projects and the implementation of computerised accounting, HR and payroll systems. He is a member of both the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Association of Management Accountants (ACMA). He also holds an MBA from the University of Manchester.
