TBVI Symposium: Europe and ACP together against tuberculosis

On the occasion of the World Tuberculosis Day on 22 March 2012, the Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative (TBVI) will hold the symposium ‘Europe and ACP together against tuberculosis’ in Brussels. Under the patronage of MEP Charles Goerens, and co-hosted by MEP's Ms Maria da Graça Carvalho and Ms Linda McAvan, the meeting will focus on how Europe and African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP countries) can strengthen each other in the fight against tuberculosis.

EDCTP Executive Director Prof. Charles Mgone will participate in the symposium and talk about how EDCTP strengthened north-south and south-south collaborations in TB clinical trials.

The symposium will take place on Thursday 22 March 2012 from 11hs to 15hs in the European Parliament in Brussels. Registration to attend the symposium is required before 12 March 2012.
