Project Partners increases interactivity

Published on 19 January 2009

Project Partners is EDCTP’s web–database that promotes networking and collaboration between European and African scientists. With currently 150 members, Project Partners is an increasingly efficient tool for creating new partnerships across the world. In order to improve the performance of Project Partners, EDCTP recently conducted a survey among its registered members to compile problems and queries arising from its use and, likewise, suggestions to improve the programme. Respondents to this survey suggested that EDCTP create a more dynamic environment and promote interactivity amongst  Project Partners. In consequence, EDCTP has modified some aspects of Project Partners that you can see at http://www.edctp.org/Project_Partners.154.0.html. The search tool has been simplified and now produces more accurate search results. Furthermore, all active members will receive a notification when a member initiates or updates their registration with Project Partners with a short email. In this way, members will always be aware of any change in memberships to the programme and are actively provided with an opportunity to explore potential collaborations.

We would like to thank all who responded to the survey. We will keep on evaluating the Project Partners search tool. If you would like to share your views, opinions and queries in this regard, please feel free to contact Ms Patricia Saez at saez(at)edctp.org. Your contribution is highly considered.
