Five years of HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria research integration
The European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is celebrating its fifth anniversary on Monday 15 September 2008. EDCTP has grown into a mature funder of clinical research in HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria in Africa. From its inception, the partnership has injected around 170 million into the development of drugs, vaccines and microbicides against the three poverty-related deseases, and a sustainable environment for conducting clinical trials in Africa in an effective and safe way.
This informal celebration will take place in parallel in two local events at NWO in The Hague, Netherands and MRC in Cape Town, South Africa.

- 15:30 Opening ceremony (short speeches)
