EDCTP supports the roundtable discussion New minds, new ideas – Attracting the next generation of investigators to HIV vaccine research, which will be held during the satellite programme of the AIDS Vaccine 2008 conference (13-16 October in Cape Town, South Africa). Participants of the 2008 conference are invited to join the roundtable discussion with leaders in HIV research to examine how the field can facilitate scientific progress and breakthrough discoveries. The roundtable discussion takes place on Monday 13 October between 14:00 and 15:30. Panellists are Alan Bernstein (chair, Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise), Dan Barough (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre), Geetha Bansal, US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH), Charles Mgone (European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership, EDCTP), and Thumbi Ndung’u (University of KwaZulu Natal).
