Christa Janko joined EDCTP in March 2011 to coordinate, consolidate and expand the Private Sector Relations of EDCTP. Christa graduated from the University of Vienna in 1998, holding a degree in philosophy and translation sciences with specialties in economics and medicine. She has gained in-depth experience in clinical trials during her almost 10-year-long employment within the pharmaceutical industry. Between 2001 and 2009, Christa was in charge of the general management and the strategic development of the Vienna School of Clinical Research which was one of EDCTP's grantees for training and education activities. In previous years, Christa was member of the EDCTP General Assembly and also of the European Network of National Programmes (ENNP) until 2009.  She brings a range of experiences and insight which will help her to fulfil her role as the new EDCTP Private Sector Relations Coordinator.
