Project Officer

Pete Murphy was born in Wellington, New Zealand then completed his high school and university years in Australia before leaving the country in 1993. He has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Science from the Queensland University of Technology and is completing further study with a focus on International Relations. Pete has extensive field experience including working as a chemist in Hong Kong, then mainland China and finally Indonesia for seven years before he switched careers to join the United Nations where he managed remote field operations in East Timor and throughout the southern provinces of Afghanistan for the following five years. Pete is now a Project Officer in the EDCTP Calls and Grants team.
