This project will improve efficiency and expansion of Ethical Research Committees (ERC) in Kenya. The inventory of all ethics review committees will be taken. It also seeks to expand its functional capacity through purchase of new office equipment (computers, printers, projectors and photocopiers), training of ERC members on bioethics, networking with local and external ERCs (North to South, South to South) to enhance ethical review processes in single and multi-clinical projects in Africa where the burden of infections is high.
