EDCTP calls and grants
By the end of 2012, EDCTP has funded (contract signed) 241 projects to a total amount of €372.3 million of committed funding. Of these projects, 55 are on HIV/AIDS research, 37 on tuberculosis research and 41 on malaria research, and the remaining 108 projects were non-disease specific.
A total of 45 grant contracts were signed: 2 grants for Member States Initiated projects, 12 Senior Fellowships, 20 capacity building for ethics review, and 14 Strategic Primer Grants.
EDCTP has launched 64 calls for proposals since the beginning of the programme in 2003 up to December 2012. By end of 2012, 106 projects were active and 135 had completed.
