The biennial IAS conferences on HIV science are the largest open scientific conferences on HIV and AIDS related issues – bringing together a broad cross-section of more than 6,000 professionals from around the world to meet and examine the latest scientific developments in HIV-related research with a focus on moving science into practice and policy.

Sponsored Symposium: Coinfections associated with high mortality in severely immunocompromised HIV patients
Hosted by EDCTP in partnership with ANRS
Location: Room 242, Palais de Congrès
The symposium, sponsored by EDCTP and ANRS, will focus on co-infections causing mortality in HIV-infected individuals and aims to highlight some recent advances in the areas of HIV/TB and HIV/cryptococcal co-infections. It will showcase recent EDCTP- and ANRS-funded projects and present future funding opportunities in this area through EDCTP and ANRS.
