Sixth EDCTP Forum (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)

The Sixth EDCTP Forum was held from 9 to 12 October 2011 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the theme Strengthening Research Partnerships for Better Health and Sustainable Development, taking into account the past, present and the future of EDCTP. The Sixth Forum showed the growth and development of the programme since its launch in 2003, presented the scientific results of projects and illustrated the success of EDCTP’s approach to capacity building and networking. More than 60% of the presented projects were funded by EDCTP. Moreover, the report highlights activities of EDCTP’s collaborating partners and their commitment to further health research as well as the winners of the EDCTP Awards for Outstanding Junior and Senior African Scientist.
