The workshop will cover project management of EDCTP2 grants, including legal and contractual issues; preparation and implementation of EDCTP2 grant agreements; duties and responsibilities of project participants; implementation of project activities; ownership and exploitation of results; and reporting obligations. The workshop will equally cover financial management of EDCTP2 grants, including budgeting; accounting for personnel and equipment; EDCTP financial guidelines; internal control; and external auditing.

The workshop targets beneficiaries of current EDCTP2 grants. However, others are also welcome, especially those who may want to apply for EDCTP2 funding in the future. The training is relevant for both project/scientific managers and financial managers of EDCTP2 grants.

Participation
The workshop is limited to 75 participants. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. In case of oversubscription, priority will be given to individuals involved in EDCTP2 projects.

Participants need to complete the application form. The completed form must be submitted via email to workshops@edctp.org.

Accommodation and travel
Unfortunately, EDCTP cannot provide any support for travel or accommodation for the participants. Participants are therefore responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation. A block booking with preferential rates has been made at the venue for the training (Hotel Mercure). Applicants are advised not to make any bookings before participation in the training has been confirmed.

Participation in the training is an eligible cost for beneficiaries of ongoing EDCTP2 grants.
