The EDCTP Association and Global Health EDCTP3 held a financial and project management training workshop for principal investigators, and project and financial managers working on Global Health EDCTP3 projects. Thirty participants from institutions in Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe attended the three-day workshop, which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 18–20 May 2026. The workshop comprised presentations, practical exercises and Q&A sessions covering all aspects of managing a Global Health EDCTP3 grant.

The trainers were Abdoulie Barry and Dr Pauline Beattie from the EDCTP Association, and Vincent Declerfayt and Neodia Mensing-Flores from Global Health EDCTP3. The workshop was organised under the EDCTP Association Second Africa Office Project (grant agreement number 101268430), supported by the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking and its members.
