The Pasteur Institute of Côte d’Ivoire, in collaboration with the Swiss Centre for Scientific Research in Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS) will hold an information meeting for health research teams on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 09:00-11:30.

The meeting will take place at the faculty of pharmaceutical and biological sciences (UFR SPB) at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Cocody, Abidjan.

The meeting aims to provide all interested parties (researchers, NGOs, disease control programmes) with information on project financing mechanisms for responding to EDCTP calls for proposals. The session will be joined by all participants of the EDCTP workshop on grant proposal writing for French-speaking researchers from sub-Saharan Africa, which will take place in Abidjan from

Among the speakers are representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of Côte d’Ivoire, the university, and the research institutes involved. EDCTP High Representative, Prof. Marcel Tanner, will speak on collaboration and research capacity development. Dr Ole Olesen, EDCTP Director of International Cooperation, will present mission, funding possibilities and future development of EDCTP. Project Officer Jean Marie Vianney Habarugira will elucidate the 2018 Calls for proposals.
