Togo joins the EDCTP Association

05 February 2026

The EDCTP Association is pleased to announce that the Togolese Republic (Togo) has become its newest member country, bringing the total number of participating African countries to 32. The General Assembly of the EDCTP Association formally approved Togo as a member on 3 February 2026, strengthening regional collaboration in global health research.

Through its membership, Togo becomes eligible for funding from the Global Health EDCTP3 programme and can contribute to the programme’s strategic direction.

Togo will be represented at the General Assembly by Professor Mounerou Salou, Faculté des sciences de la santé de l’Université de Lomé, and Dr Kossi Sénamé Dodzi, Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche.

“Togo’s accession to the EDCTP Association marks a decisive step in our ambition to make clinical research a driving force of national medical scientific research and a pillar of health sovereignty, academic excellence, and the active integration of our country into major global initiatives addressing local and global health challenges.”

Professor Mounerou Salou
